Studio

Our studio meets MWF and is taught by Jason Payne. The syllabus is attached along. We are doing a study of surfaces and its development relative to a mass. This week consisted of a visit to a local rock climbing gym for lessons on movement and then a long trip yesterday to Joshua Tree. At JT we did some climbs with guides on a cliff face and in the afternoon we went to a boulder field to select individual boulders to analyze. Our analysis included bouldering the surface, taking dimensions and photographs of the entire boulder and focusing in on particular surface formations relative to the path or "problem" we climbed.
